2ND AMENDMENT IS MY GUN PERMIT — THE PERMIT WRITTEN IN 1791

Asked for a permit, this design hands over a sentence written in 1791. That is the whole argument, and it fits in five words: the Second Amendment is my gun permit. Not a card issued by an office, not a favor renewed on schedule — a right recorded at the founding, belonging to the people before any paperwork existed to describe it.

The wit in it is real, but the point underneath is serious. A permit, in the ordinary sense, is permission — something granted, and something that can be taken back by whoever granted it. This design insists the right was never that kind of thing. It was recognized, not issued. The founders wrote it down precisely so no later office could reclassify it as a privilege.

That is why the line lands with a grin and a backbone at the same time. It is a history lesson worn on a chest: twenty-seven words that outrank every form, every fee, and every waiting period ever printed, carried by citizens who know exactly which document they answer to.

Wear it for the oldest permit there is — written by the founders, held by the people, and never up for renewal.
