Vietnam Soldier Never Forget Reflective Decal

Signing the papers is only a formality. Once you're in, you're in. Ask your brothers. And even when you finish, when you're home safe and with your family, a little piece of you remains. Not that you'd have it any other way. Our Vietnam Soldier Never Forget Reflective Decal acknowledges this.

VIETNAM SOLDIER NEVER FORGET

They came home one at a time, on ordinary flights, to an ordinary airport — and too often to silence, or worse. No bands. No parade. Young soldiers who had done everything asked of them stepped off the plane and were expected to simply disappear back into a country that did not want to talk about where they had been. Many of them carried that quiet for decades.

That is why "never forget," for this generation, means something specific. It is not only about remembering a war. It is about finally saying the words that were not said at the gate: Welcome home. Thank you. You deserved better from us, and we know it now. Late gratitude is still gratitude when it is real — and this one is owed with interest.

The wall of names, the handshakes sought out at every reunion, the strangers who stop a veteran in a parking lot just to say it — that is the country keeping a corrected promise, one meeting at a time, for as long as these soldiers are with us to hear it.

Wear it for the Vietnam soldier — and say the welcome home out loud, every chance you get.
