Take and Bear Arms
Written and accepted by James Madison into the American Constitution on December 15, 1791, these indelible words have meant every American can defend themselves while limiting the powers of ‘Big Government.’ We feel you should be able to express the Second Amendment through the First: The Right to Freedom of Speech means you can say what needs to be said. As Thomas Jefferson suggests,
“What country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms.” Silence is not an option.
Liberty or Death
We can’t think of any other 27 words that have had such importance for American Liberty and Freedom as: “A well-regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.” In short, you, as a US Citizen have the individual right to arm yourself. The amendment also firmly establishes that the government cannot infringe on that right.
