Fishing remains an incredibly popular pastime in America. In 2019, over 49 million Americans from all around the country went recreational fishing. That’s a lot of people baiting hooks, lining poles, and casting rods in a bid to catch some fish. This shouldn’t really come as a surprise.
After all, people have fished all over the world since the beginning of time. These days in the US, it’s more of a hobby than means of survival. Nonetheless, it remains an intrinsic way of life for people all over America where it has created millions of jobs, helped boost our economy, and given every red, white and blue-blooded patriot somewhere to go and something to do when life gets too stressful. We know fishing is more than just a pastime; it’s a way of life.
